The local government unit of Larena will join the global community in celebrating the 10th year of Earth Hour. In Line with this observance, the cities and municipalities all over the world will switch off their lights from 8:30 in the evening to 9:30 of the same evening on Saturday, March 19, 2016.
To promote the Earth Hour 2016, the local officials, employees, barangay captains, barangay officials and all constituents in the municipality are encouraged to observe the one-hour switching off of lights to send a message to take action on global warming.

Private sectors are also mobilized to support Earth Hour by switching off their signage lights or some of their lights in their facilities, as their operation/business will allow.
